For people suffering from dementia in retirement communities and long-term care (LTC) facilities, the quality of life depends critically on the quality and strength of their relationships with the nursing and care teams.
Our experienced staff understands that each resident is unique, with different abilities and needs for support that change as their challenges progress. We work to determine how to best serve residents by learning as much as we can about the residents’ life story, their preferences and abilities. We work with each resident’s care partners including; family members, physicians and other external healthcare providers to develop a “resident-centered” approach to coordinating care and services. Those suffering from dementia can and should experience joy, comfort, meaning and growth in their lives.
